Major factors leading to constipation in children

Dear Moms!
In most cases, the main factors leading to impaired intestinal motor function and constipation in children:
• poor nutrition of the child for a long time, with a predominance of protein products, carbohydrates (sweet) and a lack of plant fiber in his diet;
• chronic lack of fluid in violation of the drinking regime, when the child drinks little;
• imbalance of intestinal microflora, which develops against the background of antibacterial therapy and eating disorders and leads to putrefactive processes and poor peristalsis;
• food allergies, as a result of which the released histamines damage the intestinal walls;
• enzyme deficiency, when due to congenital pathologies and diseases of the digestive tract, this or that food is poorly processed in the intestine;
• some helminths in which helminthic invasions disrupt the bowels;
• rickets and calcium metabolism, which are accompanied by reduced muscle tone in the intestinal walls;
• iron deficiency in the body, due to which the oxygen starvation of the intestinal muscles develops;
• psychological factors associated with pain during a bowel movement;
• hypofunction of the thyroid gland, the clinical manifestation of which are constipation;
• violation of the reflex emptying due to damage to the nervous system;
• frequent use of laxatives, enemas, which leads to intestinal addiction and the loss of their ability to get rid of fecal masses.
